Maha Kumbh Mela 2010- Haridwar

The Kumbh Mela ("festival of the pot of nectar of immortality") is held every three years in each of four different locations, returning to each of four places every twelve years. An Ardh (half) Mela (festival) takes place six years after the Purna (full) Kumbh in each location.

Kumbh Mela is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage and bathing festival that takes place at the following 4 locations of India:

-Prayag (near the city of Allahabad, in the state of Uttar Pradesh) at the confluence of three rivers Ganga (Ganges), Yamuna and mythical Saraswati.
-Haridwar (in the state of Uttaranchal Pradesh) where the river Ganga enters the plains from Himalayas.
-Ujjain (in Madhya Pradesh), on the banks of Ksipra river.
-Nasik (in Maharashtra) on the banks of Godavari river.

Dates for the Kumbh Festival
(every 12 years in 4 locations)

-In 2010, March-April, Kumbh Mela will be held at Haridwar in the foothills of the Himalayas. The main bathing date for Kumbh Mela, Haridwar, is April 14, 2010.
-In 2013, Maha Kumbh Mela will be held in Allahabad (Prayag), Jan. 27 to Feb. 25. Main bathing date: Feb. 10.
-In 2015, Kumbh Mela will be held Aug. 15 to Sept. 13. Main bathing date: Sept. 13.
-In 2016, Kumbh Mela will be held April 22 to May 21. Main bathing date: May 21.

Shahi Snaan (Royal Bath) for six Akharas of Vaishnav and Udasi sects: March 15, March 30, and April 14, 2010

The basic point of the Kumbh Mela is for pilgrims to bathe at certain sacred spots on certain auspicious days. A large tented city is erected and pilgrims stay at tents owned by Pandas (religious and spiritual guides) and at various ashrams and hotels. Others will just camp on the ground or visit for the actual bathing day. Some of these bathing days are designated "royal." On all the 10 major bathing dates, the naga sadhus (naked mendicants) will parade and bathe. On all other days there will still be people bathing, other events, and random processions.

Ngakpa Ordination

I took another step on my Buddhist spiritual path. Tonight I was ordained a ngakpa called "Ngakchang Konchok Jangchup Dorje." Since several of us had taken refuge only days before, Venerable Lama Sonam was apparently merciful enough not to change our newly received names. However, the level of commitment is no less demanding.
The Ngakchang path is less well known than the monastic path, but its "vows" or root samayas, although fewer in number than the precepts for monastics are very rigorous because their focus is interior rather than exterior. The fourteen root samayas are
not to:
1) disparage the Master
2) transgress the Buddha's words
3) be hostile to vajra brothers and sisters
4) forsake loving kindness on behalf of sentient beings
5) abandon the enlightened mind (Bodhicitta)
6) criticize the tenets of one's own or anther's faith
7) divulge secrets to the immature
8) abuse the five components which are primordially pure
9) cast doubt on the Dharma of the Pure nature
10) maintain friendship with those who are harmful especially those who harm the doctrine
11) apply conceptualization to wordless natures
12) belittle those who have faith
13) violate one's words of honor strictly as given
14) disparage women, the source of discriminative wisdom
While I could focus on these and examine each one in turn which would be a worthwhile study, it is perhaps more important to look at the chief reason that drew me to this step. This path is devoted to the essence of tantra, transformation. Nothing is evil except the "three poisons," anger, grasping, and ignorance, but everything including afflictive emotions may be transformed from a negative into a positive. Each of these has powerful energy which can, under the right circumstances, propel the practitioner toward enlightenment.
I am only a beginner on this path with a beginner's understanding. However, I do have a course of study passed down through our lineage and teachers who can teach me.

We must not try to copy the world, but be different to it, as the example set by our Teacher, our Lord Jesus Christ. Being the same as the world, sharing its base values, being part of the fashion trends, is all part of Satan's system (Sex changes that are taking place ever more frequently and therefore not knowing anymore who is a man or a woman). The Pope of Rome is one of Satan's instruments (the Papists have immense power and wealth, our Lord Jesus Christ was humble and owned nothing). Talmudists/Zionists want to rebuild Solomon's Temple and proclaim their own false king of the world (there is only one King of the Jews and Orthodox Christians and that is our Lord Jesus Christ). Their power base is the U.S.A (Superpower of the world). They contol many governments, banks, newspapers, television stations (the media in general), etc. We must not forget the very elusive and cunning Masonic Lodges which form part of Satan's means to spread anti-Christian and heretic information. Television and video has been one of the most powerful tools of Satan, which has ruined the ethics which sustained our youth and the family unit. With pornography in all its forms, men have been misled and subsequently their women, a whole generation of our youth and their families have been devoured by Satan. We have forgotten about God, the Bible and prayer and have allowed ourselves to go down the road to hell and have fallen into Satan's trap (in other words we are slaves to flesh and our desires). Hedonism is the aim of humanity.

The group that is attempting to rule the world, consists of three member countries, U.S.A, Europe and Japan (3 presidents). Their central control, consists of 32 members (of the 29, 8 are Americans; 9 from Japan; 12 from the European Union (contolled from Belgium/Luxembourg). Head of the 3 member group is Rockefeller (his head quaters is in Rhodes, Greece; his specific influence is in the U.S.A and E.U). Whoever does not obey the orders of this group are murdered. Death is the penalty for disobedience. Another Satanic "club" is called, Bildeberg. They can destroy any government and put a new one together again. They can make a country vanish and create a new one too. 200 members, which include intelligence agencies (CIA; BIA; BND (Ger.); SIB (Ital.); SPELA (Fra.)). There are members who are involved with NATO and hold important positions in the US administration, etc. They hold an extremely harsh stance against the East, especially with Russia because of its Christian Orthodox heritage. They exterminate/demolish any opposition.

An enemy going back thousands of years is head quatered in China (the Himalayas/Tibet). The Seljuks come from that region, who are the ancestors of the Turks, who attacked and oppressed Christian Orthodoxy in Asia Minor and Greece. The Turks/Jews have tried many times to wipe out the Greeks and Christian Orthodoxy. They call the Greeks and Christian Orthodoxy, the people of the "Blue Trigramaton" (which is refering to the Holy Light that emenates from our Lord Jesus Christ's tomb). The roots of martial arts is that region spoken of above. Martial arts are Satanic and anti-Christian and yet has our youth spellbound under the innocent guise of sport/fitness. In the Himalayas there is a glass pyramid (Sambala), it has many entrances. This is where the White Brotherhood is based. It's aim is to destroy all the world's religions except its own. It has more power than the U.S.A. It has more resources at its disposal than all the governments in the world. It has infiltrated and controls many governments and religions (Roman Catholics, Protestants and Judaism). The First and Second World Wars were masterminded by them. They are going to start the Third World War too. The White Brotherhood works with the Bildeberg club and all the others. They are assisted by the Zionists. They created Hitler and introduced the Swastika (broken cross, that is what it means). Hirohito of Japan was responsible for a massive bloodbath, but he was not punished like the others, after the Second World War because he was a member of the world ruling 3 member group mentioned above. Grey Wolves (Turkish Muslims), are connected to the White Brotherhood. Only Grey Wolves members may rule Turkey. They must always mantain a harsh stance against Greece/Christian Orthodoxy (Turgut Ozal, was exterminated for his softer stance).

The White Brotherhood want to destroy the followers of Jesus Christ. They call His followers, bipods or two-legged ones. Their methods are many: thirst, hunger on a worldwide scale. All plants and forests must be destroyed. Wars, so as to ensure maximum slaughter. They refer to humanity as a chicken breeding farm. They destroy humanity with drugs; they have contaminated our drinking water (it has been doctored with medication); our food is also contaminated and our clothes too from the fancy washing powders that we use (that is why everyone is getting ill and they don't know why). Thirst on a worldwide scale, for eg.. Euphrates to be dried up because of Turkey, which will lead to a confrontation with Iran/Syria. Hunger, for eg., Russia was the world's wheat provider, even the U.S.A relied on her. The White Brotherhood ensured that Russia would starve. In Moscow young women give themselves for a plate of food. Homosexuality, the U.S.A being its banner. One can go on and on, but there will be no end then. It is devestating. But do not despair, if you are a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ because He has defeated Satan and the world.

EGO, BONDAGE, AND ILLUSIONS OF TRUTH

All of our emotional bondages are created and held in place by that which is
known as ego... Ego is the belief that we are these bodies, emotions, and
thoughts.. Therefore when anything goes against any of these systems we hold
it to be an assault against our persona..
Depending on our belief system and identity which is already in place it can
be mildly irritating to downright devastating..
If we encountered a traumatic situation where there was a belief that
impending death was just around the corner then that trauma may be re-run
again and again in the psyche, creating ever more pain and perceived
trauma.. But there is a way to short circuit these illusions of truth..
For anything that is not LIBERATING is not Truth at all but an illusion of
truth.. It is these illusions that we will address. How are they created and
what sustains them? And if they are illusions how can we move beyond them?
If we are not this ego structure then what are we? How can peace of mind be
attained and preserved? Where do we begin and where will this search end?
Believe it or not that which you fear the most can be THAT
which liberates you in the end. The largest perceived fear can be the
greatest liberator. Please bear with me in this. Right now you are probably
thinking that this woman has a serious screw loose somewhere! And if I were
in your place I would probably think the same thing right about now. But I
have been where you are and have escaped the concrete fears and thought
constructs and emotional baggage which kept me bound for many years.
I have walked the path and therefore can speak from the position of direct
experiential knowledge and not hearsay. All I will speak of has been
acquired by direct experience. I do not have a PHD but rather a direct
knowledge of Truth as it is. It is this truth that I wish to share with you
today..
From the moment we are born the conditionings begin. And the conditions of
life are set. We are born into this world with a body. Some bodies are seen
as perfect and some as flawed. we are born into a family. Some are glad at
the arrival and perhaps some are not. So all these things begin to create
the conditionings and conditions of our lives. The views of our parents and
society and friends all have an impact on our thought structures and
perceptions. These all come together to create our basic outlook on life ad
what we hold to be truth. These create our perceptions of truth. If you are
supported and told you are smart then you have confidence in whatever you
do.
While on the other hand if you are always told you are stupid and ugly then
this will color your world and view of reality. This colors your thoughts of
who you perceive yourself to be, along with all the other events in life
which also color and inter-play within your reality framework.
One person that has always been sheltered within a loving family will see
the world as a kind and beneficial beautiful place to be. Where as one that
has come from a harsh and abusive environment will see the world colored as
a place to be continually on guard. While there are events which unfold in
everyones life which will skew these basic belief systems.
Now you begin to see just how much the conditionings create our basic view
of reality as we know it.. Or "think" it to be.
Now with this out of the way we begin right where you are at this moment in
time. So the first thing we do is to look at the fact that the past is past.
So if your are re-running the tapes of the past let's look at the fact that
by running them over and over you can change nothing. All you are doing is
re-inforcing past nonsense that is keeping you bound in one form or another.
If it were not keeping you bound it would have passed right out of your
awareness. But for whatever reason that you perceive you are continually
holding on to this perceived slight or hurt or trauma. And you have to admit
it is not doing anything constructive in your life.
Now lets look at the other waste of energy which we continually find
ourselves in. And this is the "what if" factor. Trying to live in the future
just never works. as the ONLY place that you can ever truly live is in the
present moment of now...
So what is happening when you are running the past tapes and the what if
tapes? In essence you are passing life by.. You are only existing! You are
Not living at all.. Life is in a holding pattern. Continually circling
around and around. And the more you feed the past and the what ifs the more
they grow into unmanageable cyclones of wasted energy and efforts. As you
are attempting to deal with an change something which is already gone. It
lives only within your illusion of truth. And the conflict is there because
of the ego identification with the body and emotions and thoughts. And in
Truth you are none of these things.
So now you ask where do I go from here!? And from here I say it is time you
found out the Truth of who and what you really are. Once you Know at long
last just what comprises your Being then the rest of that which is illusion
will just drop away of its own accord.. When these things are no longer
given any energy then they will just dissipate into the vapors of unreality
that they are. Like a drop of dew evaporates in the sunlight. these
illusions will dissipate under the light of truth.
Are you ready to begin the never ending adventure? Are you ready to begin to
really live life to the fullest. to grab and rest in the freedom which is
just waiting for you to reach out and accept it? For it is ALWAYS there and
has always been there. It is only your own blinders which keep you from
seeing it.
Is your fear that you are nothing and nobody? Is your great fear that of
death and that you will cease to be? Let us go into these fears and see what
comes out of them.
Let us proceed to look at what is temporary and transient. What is it about
you that comes and goes. When you peel away the layers of the transient what
is it that remains? When you come to what remains you will come to the truth
of your Being!! You will see that there was nothing to fear and that there
is only Freedom that remains. Won't that be a lovely thing to remain. Just
FREEDOM to BE. The Freedom of knowing that you are the unbound Truth of
Existence. That all you perceived was just an illusion of bondage and fear
which never had any reality at all, except that which you yourself gave it.
So are you ready to unravel all the fears and thoughts and emotions that
have kept you tied on the wheel of Karma? Are you ready to let go of the
desires that keep you bound to the wheel of birth and death?
For it is not the actions which keep you on the wheel of karma going around
and around. It is the thought and intent of the actions. And it is the
re-actions of the actions which come against you which once again keep you
bound to the wheel of birth and death. Just going around and around in the
never ending spiral called life and death... birth and re-birth...
We keep cycling through the same old patterns again and again until we can
break the cycle. And in each life we will draw the same patterns to
ourselves and will keep creating the same illusions of truth until we can
break free and can see them for what they are. And once we see through them
then the pattern will drop and we move onward to a new experience..
Look at your life and see what patterns keep coming up again and again. Now
let's walk through the door of Knowledge to Liberation and the Freedom with
awaits.
what is mind? Is it a physical thing? Let us first look here. What is the
mind comprised of? Is not the mind comprised of thoughts? And just what are
thoughts? Are they some concrete existence? NO! Thoughts come and go like
waves on the sea. First one thought is there and then another and so on and
so on. One arises and falls and then the next and so on infinitum. But there
can only be one thought that makes its appearance at a time. Sometimes these
thoughts will start in a whirlpool one after another just going around and
around until you are dizzy and disoriented just from the sheer continued
motion and cycling around and around. But look at it again. Even thought
there are certain thought patterns which keep appearing and cycling they
ultimately come and go.So if they come and go they are not concrete in
nature but fluid. And like waves on the ocean they can appear like a ripple
or with enough energy can appear as a tidal wave pulling you out into a sea
of emotion and fear and despair. all because they have touched upon an
illusion of truth. They come and rock your world. Cause waves in your
reality. So let us continue on in this search until we uncover the Reality
that cannot be shaken.
When you come to the Truth you will be set Free as the Truth always IS and
is the bases for ALL of creation. ALL has proceeded from Truth - is
sustained by truth - and will once again return to truth. And illusions
being what they are in the end must disappear; when the illusion is
uncovered it ceases to be!
So we see that mind is comprised of individual thoughts which come and go.
One thought manifesting at a time. So mind is Not concrete in nature. Mind
is an illusion. Mind has no substance. Let us move on now to thought.
What is thought? Thought also has no concrete nature. So exactly what and
where do thoughts manifest from? They have no substance. They arise from
nowhere and return to nowhere. So why is so much importance given to
something which comes and goes from nowhere to nowhere. When it leaves out
of our awareness and perception where does it go? It only has life while in
the framework of our perceptions. When these thoughts float into our
awareness what happens? We give it life by then ascribing emotions to it. Do
we not? When a thought comes in if you look at it and dwell on it does it
not elicit an emotion? So this emotion gives the thought life for that
moment in time. Now once again let us follow the emotion.
Emotions once again come and go. It is something that is particular to
yourself alone. No one else feels your emotion but you. Others may see your
reaction to the emotion but the emotion itself is yours alone. Is emotion a
concrete thing? No! You cannot have an emotion that lives independently on
its own. You are the one that gives it life. Your attention to it gives it
energy and life. And once again emotions come and go like the waves of an
ocean. In and out. High tide and low tide. And since they are transient in
nature they are not the reality of your Being. They are but ripples on the
sea of Consciousness. One emotion arises and is there for some time until
replaced by another emotion. Once again they are only waves and ripples
without any concrete form. Emotions are created and held in place by mind
and thought. And we have already seen that mind and thought have no
substance and are only passing illusions. And these illusions create and
sustain all the Ill-lusions that keep us bound.
So let us review. We know that we are not the physical body. Nor can we be
the mind which is created by thoughts. Nor are we the individual thoughts.
Nor are we the conglomerate of thoughts. If we are neither of these then it
follows that we also cannot be the emotions which the mind and thoughts
create and sustain. And isn't our whole persona just made up and held
together by all these illusions of mind thought and emotion? So let us keep
going and seeing just what is left? My goodness do I even exist at all? I
think it is safe to say yes you do exist--just not the way you thought and
perceived.!
So when we take away the body, the mind, the thoughts, the emotions just
what is left?
How do you know you have thoughts? How do you know you dream at night? Or
that there were no dreams.
It is because of conscious awareness! You are this Conscious Awareness... It
sees the thoughts.. But it is not the thoughts. It is aware of the emotions.
But it is Not the emotions. It is aware of form but it is not form. It is
Not concrete in nature yet clearly it IS...
You are in fact NO - Body... and you are No-Thing... You are Awareness -
energy - Vibration - truth - and Bliss... and these are Eternal in Nature..
They are what creates and sustains existence. All form while appearing and
disappearing is created by these alone. And therefore Always exists. The
form may change but it is eternal for it never was the concrete illusion of
truth which we see.
See beyond the form to the Formless.. See beyond the illusions of truth to
the Reality of Truth. Now let us continue onward.
Now we come to the point of putting all this together. Since we are in
Reality Conscious Awareness and Energy and Vibration and Truth and Bliss...
Just what thought or emotion or physical happening can touch us?! None can
truly touch out essence!! so ALL of the perceived traumas and hurts have
happened only to this body.. and you are Not this body.
This is how we diffuse the bondage. When the pain comes again go into it...
Go to the root. There is nothing to fear except fearing the fear. So go into
the fear fully and see that when you reach the end of it that it will just
dissipate as it is only comprised of of illusions of truth. When thoughts
come and go just see them as passing clouds with no substance. Do not give
them form and life... Let them come and go like waves on the ocean. Instead
of being carried away by a tidal wave get in the boat and float downstream
and enjoy the ride.
When you drop the mind of thoughts and illusions you will reach the still
waters of the Peace which passes all understanding. You will be the
everlasting waters. You will not thirst again.
You alone crate the fears and bondages of life. And you have the power to
let all of them go. Just go into the illusion and it will dissipate before
your very eyes. You will not cease to exist nor will you find more bondage.
What you will find is the doorway to freedom.
You have never truly been born nor have you died you are beyond these forms
and plays of life. As all this is created by mind and thought. So go beyond
all these illusions to what and who your really are..
Live life to the fullest! You are here to explore and be existence.. So drop
all the self doubts and illusions of truth that keep you gong around and
around. You are Life. .. You are Bliss when you drop the illusive mind and
thought. You are Sat-Truth, Chit-Awareness, and Anand-Bliss...This IS the
Truth of your Being... And what in reality can touch or harm this truth?!!!
NOTHING AT ALL!!! NOTHING AT ALL!!!

"We spend a third of our life sleeping. No matter what we do, however virtuous or non-virtuous our activities, whether we are murderers or saints, monks or ibertines, every day ends the same. We shut our eyes and dissolve into darkness,. We do so fearlessly, even as everything we know as "me" disappears. After a brief period, images arise and our sense of self arises with them. We exist again in the apparently limitless world of dream. Every night we participate in these most profound mysteries, moving from one dimension of experience to another, losing our sense of self and finding it again, and yet we take it all for granted. We wake in the morning and continue in "real" life, but in a sense we are still asleep and dreaming. The teachings tell us tha twe can continue in this deluded, dreamy state, day and night, or wake up to the truth."

If we cannot carry our practice into sleep, if we lose ourselves every night, what chance do we have to be aware when death comes? Look to your experience in dreams to know how you will fare in death. Look to your experience in sleep to discover whether or not you are truly awake.

In order to fully travel the path to enlightenment, all of life must be recognized and engaged as spiritual opportunity. Tibetan yoga has, from ancient times to the present, used the dream and sleep states both as aides to the path and as complete paths in themselves. During this teaching, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will explain the dream yoga and give instruction and transmission for its practice.

Dream yoga is not only a practice to be done in the dream state. Its understanding and methods work with all moments of life, waking and sleeping. Preliminary practices are engaged to bring greater awareness to each moment and to turn the practitioner's mind from engagement in dualistic preoccupations to integration with the boundless view of the non-dual path. Concentration practice steadies the mind, and yogic practices done during waking periods in the night carry awareness into the sleep state. Eventually the practitioner develops the capacity for lucid dreaming--knowing during the dream that one is in a dream. Once lucidity is stabilized, the dream state is used for tantric practice, for healing, for the development of insight, and finally for the direct penetration into the truth that underlies both the dreams of night and the dream of our waking life.

The focus of dream yoga is integrating with the clear light state of our natural mind. By following precise instructions, the practitioner develops awareness of the onset or presence of dreams; having recognized the dream experience as a dream, the advanced practitioner is able to experience its nature with clear non-conceptual awareness. For less advanced practitioners, becoming lucid in the dream allows one to work with the various manifestations--one can overcome fears, perform actions normally beyond one's capacity, and gradually increase dreams of clarity. In this system, ordinary dreams are understood to be caused by habitual propensities ssociated with previous actions and experiences conjoined with the energy of the mind. Eventually these emotional dreams can be transformed, liberated, or brought to the path by the accomplished practitioner.

Tenzin Rinpoche will talk about the practice of dream yoga both from the point of view expressed in the text as well as from his own unique experiences.

all light beings as in the human realms too have had an eternal desire. the intense desire while with human breath.

the desire that is in the symbolic forms as worship, the puja done, for the divine of wisdom's ancient india- when the bell is rung and the fire is shown before the deity.

this sacred fire is the inner light we see above at the third eye towards the right eye- its where the sacred symbol of swastika originated- the dance of the absolute, siva (call allah and jehovah too- the more names the merrier). nataraja, the cosmic dancer. the essence of being the universe of universes, space.

this the dance of siva throbing behind sakti, the goddess of perception and awareness- the joys in the third eye.

watching this dance, absorbed in this dance and becoming the dance, the sacred fire above the right eye danced!

dancing to the inner melody of the nada that twirls around with wisdom having the intellect tow and dance too, the inner bells ring.

so in ancient tamil is mani the sound that has become light, the enlightened and the sound flowing is energy. let bells ring! mantra joys the excited atom in each when mind awakens. awakened by ritual outside but kindled by the inner ritual that knows the celebrations gifted to be aware of.

dancing to the ringing bells as light knowing each breath in its infinite vastness, the body temple's shrine as the heart of the individual absorbed above between the eye brow's river.

the desire to see siva and sakti married was siddhar agastyar's only wish before reassuming human duties to bring balance of energies from the souther direction. the north is the guru. when in the energies of surrender in the south, north flows as wisdom's seeds that sparkle in thr intellect blossoming in the daily awakening.

the goal of yoga is accomplished watching this dance as in union we are the infite in human form manifesting to evolve with wisdom, thought and reality in its truth. the flow. the inspiring grace!

over the centuries the holy city has transformed from a primodial home to the Gods to a favourite haunt of salvation seekers.Faith ,slugging off urban malice.curling up on a sticky mat for that perfect asana.communing with strangers.Haridwar one of the oldest living cities, is benovelent enough to accept everyone,every reason within its fold.
But not when it began.All there was to it was a curse and ashes.legend has it that an incensed sage Kapila had cursed the ancestors of prince Bhagirath and turned them into ash.The prince then sat in penance to redeem the souls of his forefathers and when the Gods decided to forgive,the river Ganga trickled from the matted locks of Lord Shiva and its holy water resuscicated the 60,000 sons of king Sagar.that moment Haridwar acquired the serenity that makes it one of seven holiest cities in the country.and Chandi Devi temple is sacred for Shiva devout for it was here that the heart and navel of Goddess Sati had fallen.so is Daksha Mahadeva temple,the site where king Daksha performed yagna but didn`t invite Lord Shiva. Irate ganas(followers)of LordShiva killed who was later brought to life by the Lotd himself.
The god trail in Haridwar is incomplete without a visit Sapta(seven) Ashram and Sapta sarovar where the ganga splits into seven little rivers.and sure there is a story behind it.once upon a time seven sages were in deep meditation here ,but the river Ganga had to move further. she could not disturbed the sages,so she splits into 7 tributaries and meandered on.........
Pious or agnostic when evening comes to Har Ki Pauri,the sacred ghat at the stroke of 7 ,hundreds of lamps are lit,the enirtire place acquires an amber hue and the chanting of mantras add to surreal glow.thousands of lamps float in the serene waters of Ganga...

Haridwar is forever saintly.............

In the mind of one standing near Gomukh,under the high,dazzling,snow covered peaks of the Himalaya,and watching the things all round him with eyes wide open in wonder, there can be no room at all, atleast for that duration, for common worldly thoughts,surrows or memories of past experiences.that is, the mind then reaches a state of concentration,devoid of all distracting thoughts.it is then steeped in ineffable joy at the sight of the snow divinely beautiful in its own right, and led forward into astate of samadhi beyond all doubts and fancies.This experience is common to all,without any distinction of the learned and the ignorant,the pious and the impious,the one who knows the truth and the one who does not.

All u see is God.The Himalayas are God,theentire earth is God.everything exists in Him.everything shines because of His brightness.all beauty is His.u will enjoy the natural beauty of that divine region,realising His presence everywhere,whether in the snow or mountains.Inaccessible to man and animal they are sweetly,perpetually singing hymns to God,they do nothing else.The silent grandeur,the enourmous extent and the unshakeble firmness of the mountain,and the divine beauty and fragrance of the flowers that fascinate even birds and beasts- these are ,themselves,hymns to God.the music of course ,is not vocal.silent music those unheard.
here all sence of duality dissapear,u will feel one with great Himalayas,the world itself.in that union u feel the fullness of divine joy.

Drops fromthe Locks of God

From icy Gaumukh ,the source of one of the world`s most celebrated rivers it began a remarkable journey down the Himalays,past the great cities of Allabad,Varanasi and Patna to Gangasagar, where the river meets the sea.where the past and the future,mythic imagination and hard reality come together.
The glacier at Gaumukh is receding.Is it due to global warming or,as the Brahmavaivarta Purana foretells,is the Ganga going underground,having taken here share of sins,to await the next golden age?

Has the demon Taraka taken over the earth again or will the Tehri dam really bring succour to the lives of millions?

The dolphin is Ganga`s cow,Ganga is our mother!
The dolphin isGanga`s bloom,don`t kill it,you won`t find another!

Sadhus belong to many different sects or orders.
Upon joining a sect, an apprentice-sadhu must undergo an initiation-rite, which is regarded as a symbolic death -- and a rebirth. He dies from his former, earthly life and is reborn into the divine life. The visible symbol of this rebirth is the shaven head of the novice, bald as a baby's.
After initiation, any talk or thought about the former life is discouraged; it is irrelevant now and age is reckoned from the new birthday.
The bond with the guru is now all important. He is the 'dispeller of darkness', the guide for piercing the Veil of Illusion. The guru is father, mother and teacher -- and the disciple worships his guru as god incarnate; he will please him any way he can (in the ideal case, anyway

A small recitation, done during Navratra (October one)..recited just 27 times, facing north in the nights..is highly effective Siddhi to ward of calamity. Must be repeated every year during Navratra. One must have a Ma Durga photo/idol in front. Burn an oil lamp to HER right ; incense to HER left. Sitting on red asana & offerring red flowers to her ..recite:-

"AUM Namo-a-stute Bhagwate, Paarshwa Chandraa-dharendra Padmaavati Sahitaaye ,may abheeshta siddhim;
Dushtagraha bhasm bhakshyam swaaha,
Swaami prasaade kuroo kuroo swaaha;
Hillihilli Maatangani Swaaha,
Swaami prasaade kuroo kuroo swaaha".

Daily 27 times for 9 nights of Navratra.

Amarnath is a cave which is covered which is covered by snow all year around.the dripping water icicle looks like a Shiva-Linga--a symbol adored by Hindus,exactly as the cross is by Christians or the Star of David is by Jews.The story of a pair of white pigeons is very famous in this area.it is said that a pair of pigeons come on the of pilgrimage.

Jesus had lived in Kashmir practicing meditation.the manuscript written in the Tibetan language that is preserved in a monastery situated at the height of 14,000 feet in the Himalayas.it was later translated by a Russian writer and then into English and published as-The Unknown Life Of Jesus Christ.Inthis part of himalayas many ppl believe this story and u dare not diagree with it.There is a nearby mount which is famous because Jesus lived practicing meditaion there........

It is true that our karma determines our life,it is His grace that saves it.karmas r so severe (evident by the way everyone`s life is & the only explanation of all the sufferings on earth right now) that were it not for His Grace,this would be PLANET PAIN.thus don`t be afraid of our life`s present situation,it will be gone.
those whose sufferings has been long and shared by ur families who by virtue signed on karmic paper made them go through the ordeal too,know that God`s grace will cut through it all.

The war is never between ppl but between principalities,all unhappiness in our life is evils temporary will.

Even aday wasted in unhappiness & confusion is sulking our alloted time here,a tremendous loss to God & His appointed guardians,angels & master spirits who r assigned the task of guiding & protecting our life.

No earthly power can interfere with God`s Grace if the prayer between u & Him has been heard.

The principle is simple; from one thing comes another. So it is that before there can be mastery, there must be errors; before there can be knowledge there must be ignorance; before there can be understanding, there must be confusion; before there can be wisdom; there must be foolishness.

Therefore the sage uses errors to attain mastery, embraces ignorance to acquire knowledge, cultivates confusion to reach understanding, courts foolishness to find wisdom.

For the sage, losing is seen as acquiring, emptying as filling. Confusion and foolishness are welcomed. Ignorance and errors make an auspicious beginning.

So lets make a beginning

According to mythology, the 60,000 warrior sons of king Sagar were reduced to ashes for disturbing sage kapila Muni`s meditation.Bhagirath,the king`s great grandson,decided to atone for the sins of his ancestors by undertaking severe penance.He prayed to Goddes Ganga sking her to come downto earth and flow over the ashes of his forefathers so that they could rest in peace.The goddes agreed to his request.To absorb the force of here descent,Shiva directed the flow of the river through his matted locks.
The water gushing out from Gaumukh is believed to be the heavenly Ganga
